The Story

A good cream roll is mostly down to its cream. We use only pure fresh cream from Tokachi, Hokkaido, at 35% butterfat, whipped just enough to hold its shape and still melt on the tongue.
The sponge is a chiffon of soft flour and meringue, rolled thin. Its only job is to hold the cream, not to compete with it.
Please refrigerate as soon as it arrives. It's at its best eaten within 10 minutes of leaving the fridge.
